We have an opportunity for an Income Manager to join our Income Services team and manage a team of Income Officers and to be responsible for the effective delivery of a high quality income and debt recovery service.
As Income Manager you will provide supervision and support to your team and offer detailed advice and guidance to the teams managing complex cases ensuring compliance with the relevant Housing Act, pre-court protocols and all other related legislation and statutory guidance.
You may also be required to attend court hearings and evictions, ensuring court action is taken where appropriate and possession orders for arrears sought as a last resort.
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, within the housing sector who has a proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding arrears performance targets. You will supervise, train and monitor the performance management of individuals/ teams. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and external agencies and show your commitment to help challenging and distressed customers.
A clear understanding of legislation, regulations, and best practice in provision of Income Management for the Housing sector is critical, whilst having a good understanding of welfare benefits and associated legislation. You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of Income maximisation; court proceedings and related processes.
This role also requires some occasional working outside of normal working hours.
