Islington HR is on an ambitious journey. We are looking for a senior leader to take our HR customer delivery to the next level and provide expert strategic advice to our senior leaders across the council. Our vision is to be a trusted professional partner, empowering our managers and people to thrive and deliver better services for Islington.
As the new Assistant Director of HR, you will be the strategic lead for the provision of core HR services including resourcing (permanent and temporary agency workers), employee transactions, payroll and schools pension administration, employee relations, business analytics and digital improvement. You will drive the digital enhancement programme putting digital, analytics and innovation at the heart of our customer journey. You will build constructive relationships with colleagues, forums and partner organisations embedding a culture of delivery, learning and improvement. You will collaborate with colleagues across HR and the council to ensure the delivery of the council's workforce strategy.
