Business Analyst
We are looking for a business analyst to join us in our response to the Independent
Inquiry to Child Sex Abuse. This is a special and innovative change project to be a
part of.
This role is a business analyst supporting the build & roll out of a National
Safeguarding Case Management System, which we will use to track and manage
cases in.
We have an ambitious programme of inspirational change to deliver, and with industry

special international initiative.

This role is working for the National Safeguarding team who have international reach
across the ministries.

The main responsibilities are:
Work with project team to support and guide them through the required
steps to implement the National Safeguarding Casework Management
System (NSCMS).
Ensure the implementation of the NSCMS with responsibility for the quality
of configuration, data migration deliverables, support and quality control.
Provide quality and process assurance to the NSCMS project.
Partner with team members to ensure that technology requirements are
understood, documented and approved as part of the software delivery life
cycle.
Engage with business stakeholders at all levels to understand their system
requirements, challenge expectations, document processes and helping to
identify gaps or opportunities.
Own functional and non-functional requirements catalogue and updates
Maintain the solution through testing and delivery to ensure it meets any
changing requirements.
Leading UAT, work with the project team to define system testing
requirements, prepare test scripts and user cases, coordinating testing and
achieve sign-off and successful implementation.
Ensure the solution is properly tested and matched against the requirements
that have been specified.
Define and improve documentation standards and processes.
Work with the project team to create robust user acceptance scripts and
manage the testing process, including liaison with internal and external
parties responsible for resolving faults.
Support business and system readiness activities and the transition of the
project deliverables to business as usual.
Support the planning and co-designing of Business As Usual (BAU)
Training.
Investigate post go-live issues, identify and implement solutions.
Work with a degree of flexibility required to perform work not specifically
referred to above although falling within the scope of the post at the
appropriate grade.
Supporting the technical specialist in system configuration.
Business process modelling and re-design.

Our aim is for everyone in the National Church Institutions (NCIs) to feel that they

In 2016 it was identified that to support consistent safeguarding practice, improve
the quality of recording and to effectively manage the tracking of those who posed
a safeguarding risk, the Church of England needed to operate using a common
casework management system. This came about in response to findings identified
in the SCIE independent safeguarding audits of Dioceses, and in preparing for the
Independent Inquiry into Institutional Child Sexual Abuse’s (IICSA) investigation
into sexual abuse within the Anglican Church.
The Archbishops Council has committed to creating a national safeguarding
Casework Management System, which will be adopted by the National
Safeguarding Team (NST) and ultimately all dioceses, cathedrals and TEI’s of the
Church of England.
To assist NST on this project, there is a requirement for a Business Analyst to lead
the Church of England on this very exciting new change journey to help adapt a new technology that will modernize case management and introduce much needed
process efficiencies.
As a Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the new
system is properly configured and tested, and that the data is migrated, well-
adopted and fully utilised, with people gaining and retaining proficiency in using it.
To be successful, you will need to work collaboratively with both technical and non-
technical colleagues and stakeholders, developing excellent working relationships
with cross-functional teams.
