Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we’ve developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We’re one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Pest Control Officer to join our busy Pest Control Team.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a tenacious approach to problem solving who has professional outlook and enthusiastic attitude.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site inspections and complete appropriate treatments to identify and deal with a wide range of pest problems and provide advice to clients on preventing further problems within residential and commercial properties.
Redbridge Pest Control Service has quality at its heart and this should be reflected in your work and dealing with people in a sensitive and professional manner. Experience in working with members of the public and commercial customers is essential.
As our commercial contracts continue to increase you will be required to call on local businesses to promote service and secure new contracts.
You must hold an RSPH Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management or an equivalent qualification. You must also have up to date knowledge of Pest Control legislation, work practices and recent developments.
The role requires the candidate to use various smart phones and IT devices.
You will be provided with a Council van to travel around the Borough and be required to complete an in-house Driver Induction Assessment. Therefore, a full UK driving licence is required.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Themis Skouros, Group Manager Environmental Health on 0208 708 5687 or email Themis.Skouros@redbridge.gov.uk
Redbridge operates flexible working.
