You will be part of the Housing Investment & Asset Management Service which delivers a wide range of projects across asset management, sustainability and energy, mechanical & electrical and planned and major capital works for our housing stock of approximately 12,500 properties.
The aim of the service is to focus on improving housing quality and supply, achieving carbon reductions, improving the services and living conditions of our residents and reducing homelessness across the city.

About the role
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual with:
• experience of overseeing construction projects to achieve agreed outcomes
• the ability to build trust and openness with customers and stakeholders, keeping them updated on progress and acting upon feedback
• a proven ability to work effectively with senior management and councillors
• the ability to plan and prioritise work whilst working under pressure to tight deadlines and able to adopt a self-managing approach to work
• an ability to effectively influence and co-ordinate the work of others
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• good negotiation skills
You will work with the Asset Management team to produce programmes of work and will be responsible for all aspects of programme production and management of major works programmes.
You will be accountable for the overall supervision of site work for contractors.
You will ensure quality day to day works and projects are completed on time, within budget and to service user satisfaction.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
