Fixed-term contract (maternity cover until October 2023)

Just minutes away from the heart of London, with Heathrow and the Thames Valley to the west, Old Oak and Park Royal is London’s largest Opportunity Area and one of only two statutory Mayoral Development Corporations. Spanning three London boroughs, the Park Royal business park and the planned new HS2 and Crossrail station - Old Oak Common, OPDC is leading the planning and regeneration of this emerging new district with the potential to deliver many thousands of new homes and jobs over the coming years.

In order to achieve this, we need the very best people to join our Corporation – professionals with fresh ideas, different perspectives and the skills to bring about improvement.

We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Governance Officer on a fixed term contract basis (maternity cover until October 2023) who will help us define and bring our plans to life – monitoring our performance and ensuring we operate the highest standards of corporate governance.

This is an opportunity to take on a varied remit, working in Corporate Operations Directorate to support business planning, effective decision-making, risk management and robust project and performance management.  You will help us to track our delivery and improve our corporate processes and governance arrangements. Whatever the task, you’ll work closely with colleagues and build strong links with the rest of the Corporation, GLA Group and wider stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals with a well-developed understanding of public sector governance issues, who are skilled in the analysis and interpretation of information and have an ability to prepare high quality briefings and other pieces of written work. You will combine this knowledge with excellent communication skills: it’s important that you can present well, express yourself and influence stakeholders. Proactive and always ready to find solutions, you’ll build strong working relationships and be committed to delivering improvements within the Corporation.
