We have a 12-month internal secondment opportunity for the following post: Placements & Brokerage Assistant.
As a Placement & Brokerage Assistant in the Directorate of People you will be responsible for supporting the Placement & Brokerage Officers with the safe and appropriate placement of individuals across all service areas within Children’s Social Care. The role is varied, you will be responsible for operational duty, supporting Brokerage Officers, other Brokerage Assistants and input and updating systems. This role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop and practice a range of skills to carry out this vital function within the team.
This role involves close working with a wide range of Care Providers and Children’s Social Care Teams across Children’s Social Care. You will also communicate with various children’s care providers and external agencies such as the Commissioning Alliance, so exceptional communication skills are essential.
You will ensure information is entered and sent to the provider correctly in relation to individual placements and the cost of these services, and ensure information is accurately entered on the systems. An awareness of the Children’s Social Care System (Protocol/Liquid Logic) and internal processes would be beneficial.
You will be comfortable working under pressure and working flexibly to support the wider duties of Brokerage.
