The Neighbourhoods Service area which includes, Parks, Leisure, Enforcement and Waste, are looking to recruit a Resident Engagement Officer. This role will take the lead in coordinating procurement of services, writing briefings, external correspondence and speech writing, along with promoting and engaging the Neighbourhoods model. The position will help advocate joined up working with outside organisations, internal departments, stakeholders and customers achieving cohesion. Multiple engagement programmes will be delivered by this position as well as ward walks, community ward forums, public consultations, community workshops, surveys and community events.
The successful applicant will also be involved in a wide range of projects, with particular focus on resident satisfaction, sourcing external funding and Procurement of Contracts. We are looking for someone who will show pride and passion for public service and is committed to delivering an excellent service for our residents.
The role requires the successful candidate to collate, analyse, interpret and provide detailed report to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of processes. Horizon scanning using social media to engage with our residents and using data to feedback.
Candidates should display excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility to working patterns and practices. The successful candidate will be able to use evidence and knowledge to support accurate, expert decisions and advice, and understand how this role fits in with and supports organisational objectives.
