We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual to the post of Child Protection, Safeguarding & External Provision Manager to join our Inclusion Team. The post holder will be responsible for the management of safeguarding and child protection issues throughout the school and supporting the Senior Leadership Team in providing a safe environment for students to develop and learn.
You will lead on safeguarding issues within the school and undertake the role of Designated Child Protection Coordinator along with leading the assessment of students’ suitability for intervention from Alternative Educational Providers. You will also will also be responsible for the pastoral care of a specific year group
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working effectively with vulnerable children / young people in either an educational, social work or youth work setting. You will also have significant experience of liaising closely with a wide variety of external agencies and parents/carers in order to find the best possible way forward for students who face challenges to their well-being. Specific experience of working with young people who may be in difficult circumstances, distressed or who display anti-social behaviour is essential.
Salary: PO2 (points 31 - 33) £38,148 - £40,155 pro-rata
Hours: 35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year
