We are looking for a Digital Innovation Project Manager to get involved in projects that positively impact the lives of Londoners.

The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Digital Innovation Delivery Lead on our core projects. Right now, that means Digital Exclusion, or more to the point, driving out digital exclusion amongst Londoners. As Digital Innovation Project Manager you will be working closely with our partners to design sustainable services that provide- more devices, better training, and connectivity to people who need to get online, and get London to be one of the most digitally inclusive places in the world.

Further work planned includes our Innovation in Adult Social Care Programme. This looks at how digital, data and radical service delivery models can be deployed to improve the lives and outcomes of our most vulnerable residents across the capital.

LOTI projects tend to be delivered using agile methods of discovery, rapid prototyping, testing and learning. However, we are relentlessly pragmatic, always aiming to find the best route to achieve our goals given the opportunities and constraints of working in a complex, multi-partner environment.

Day to day, your job will involve:

  • Working closely with the Digital Innovation Delivery Lead to design and deliver projects focused on digital inclusion and digital innovation.
  • Networking across the boroughs to establish positive working relationships with our members.
  • Liaising with our partners - the GLA, the Mayor’s Office, technology providers, charities and more to deliver a multi-agency approach to digital inclusion and innovation.
  • Managing projects within the digital inclusion and innovation programmes to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Writing clear and concise proposals and reports, sometimes in conjunction with other partners/consultants.
  • Representing LOTI at meetings with local authorities, the GLA and other organisations and actively participate in the coordination and delivery of other LOTI projects and activities as required.

You will need:

  • Natural openness, curiosity and optimism (a bit of bravery probably wouldn’t hurt either)
  • To be a clear and articulate communicator, both in writing and in person. This is really important.
  • To enjoy problem-solving in complex, changeable and sometimes ambiguous environments where creativity and pragmatism are required.
  • To show that you have some experience of managing projects using agile methods involving multiple teams and/or organisations, while building strong relationships with all partners.
  • Buckets of initiative and a willingness to find or develop new approaches based on the needs of our team and members.
  • To be comfortable working in a small and fast-moving team, managing a mixed and varied workload, and responding effectively to the needs of a range of stakeholders.
  • To be committed to constantly learning and honing your craft.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate, consult, influence and negotiate with a wide range of people at all levels, including users, suppliers and service providers.
  • To demonstrate understanding of equal opportunities and awareness of the behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs of others.
