SEND Improvement Officer PO3

Improvement Officer:

London Borough of Waltham Forest are looking for an SEN Improvement Officer.

This position requires the post holder to:

Be responsible for embedding improvements and quality of the Education Health and Care Plan needs assessments and the Annual Review process.

Developing a local area audit tool and complete, regular audits and observations of practice.

Leading learning and development sessions with SEND officers and the wider SEND community.

To ensure that the service complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.

To read, monitor and analyse the data.

Identify trends and provide management reports in line with the DFE policies and statutory requirements as well as ad hoc internal reports for various boards and performance meetings

The post holder must have experience of SEND together with writing and quality assuring EHCP’s.

SEND Improvement Officer you will be responsible for embedding improvements and quality of: • the overall Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment and annual review process • developing a local area audit tool and complete regular audits and observations of practice • practice forums for learning and development of SEND officers To ensure the service complies with relevant legislation, regulations and policies
