Learning Mentor/Activity Lead
Required – As soon as possible
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday – 9.30am – 5.00pm
Wednesday 8.30am – 5.00pm
We are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Mentor/Activity Lead to work with students individually and in small groups, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and realise their full potential, as well as providing children across the school with a range of activities to support the children’s interests.
Experience in mentoring and/or counselling would be an advantage.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
- To contribute to the identification of barriers to learning for individual children and young people and provide them with a range of strategies for overcoming the barriers.
- To facilitate children and young people’s learning and development through mentoring by identifying needs, planning for how these needs will be addressed through mentoring and parent partnership, and by reviewing the effectiveness of mentoring.
- To support children and young people’s successful transfer and transition in learning and development contexts.
- To plan and oversee the range of activities which extend our pupils’ interests and skills through the extended curriculum
This role requires an innovative team player who is positive and proactive with good interpersonal skills.
