About the Role
The systems team at one source manage the Oracle Fusion ERP systems and Civica Pay income system for the London Boroughs of Havering and Newham.
Oracle Fusion manages key business processes for HR, Payroll, Finance and Procurement across the organisations and Civica Pay is our income system, with a much smaller number of users.
We are looking to appoint to a new role of Product Manager, reporting to the Head of Systems.
You will own the vision and product road map for Oracle Fusion and this will see you engage with business and functional areas to understand their requirements and challenges; vendors and support partners to understand opportunities and best practice as well as the systems team looking at Problems to create a system development road map, to ensure system alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of onesource, Havering and Newham.
You will manage and be supported by a Business Analyst to develop requirements and you will prioritise requirements determining the work schedule for change.
Working in partnership with the Systems Delivery Manager and team, you will use Agile processes to implement system changes.
Whilst Oracle Fusion will be the majority of your focus, you will oversee development plans for Civica Pay also.
This is an opportunity to establish a new role implementing Agile principles whilst working in a supportive environment to help us develop Oracle Fusion and Civica Pay.
You will have experience of Product Management / System Development and Oracle Fusion; preferably product management of Oracle Fusion.
You will be able to work with staff at all levels to senior management, to provide advice and guidance on what may be possible in the system and to assess business need and benefits to create and prioritise clear requirements for system development.
You will understand user-centred design and be able to influence solutions to provide positive user experience and system adoption.
Using questioning and data analysis skills you will be able to differentiate between process, data and system issues and be able to direct and advise to ensure successful solutions are deployed.
You will be able to create business cases where required to support development and present these to Senior Managers to obtain buy in and support and you should have experience of Agile methodologies having created user stories and product backlogs.
It would be beneficial to have local government knowledge and knowledge or experience of working with Civica Pay but neither of these are essential.
