TEACHING ASSISTANT

Permanent position: term time + inset days.

Location: St Edward's Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School

 

Required January 2023 or as soon as possible after.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. (with 30 minute lunch break)

APTC 3 points 5 - 6  (Annual Salary £24,804-£25,212; pro rata, actual salary: £19,198- £19,514)

Our children are keen to learn and to be involved in the running of their school.  A walk through the school will allow you to see their amazing artwork and sporting achievements and their views are aired and shared via our various pupil voice groups. 

We are looking for a permanent Teaching Assistant who is flexible and happy to work in different settings, including supporting children at lunchtimes where necessary. All our TA roles involve flexibility and may involve working in a class-based environment or with SEN/SEMH children, either in class or in our SEN Classroom. Successful candidates will be placed according to their skills and experiences. 

We would like to appoint someone who:

  • is enthusiastic, confident and able to show initiative;
  • is an effective communicator with pupils and staff;
  • possesses good literacy and numeracy skills;
  • is able to deal with a child’s medical, physical, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • has a good understanding of the barriers to learning children can have and how to overcome them;
  • an excellent team player.
