18 months Fixed Term Contract or a Secondment Opportunity

This is an interesting opportunity to join the busy Strategic Property department at Ealing Council as an Office Centre Assistant working predominantly at the Former Southall Town Hall in Southall. Strategic Property operate within the Corporate Landlord capacity providing property advice to internal stakeholders and colleagues and manage both the Estate and Asset Management of the Council’s Commercial Portfolio.

This is a front-line position and is focused on providing a safe, efficient, and clean office premises for users and visitors to the Southall Town Hall office centre.  The role will assist the Office Manager in providing a welcoming environment and will undertake duties relating to the everyday running of the Office Centre.  The post holder will be required to close the facility as necessary and to work at any Council site if needed.  The role also includes providing administrative support to the Strategic Property team as and when required.

We are looking for a friendly individual for this customer facing position with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with previous experience of cleaning or caretaking within a commercial environment.

The ability to work flexible hours as needed, which may be at another Council site or during evenings or weekends.  Usual working hours are as below:

Monday                 14:00-20:30 – 5.5 (ignoring hour break)

Tuesday                14:00-20:30 – 5.5 (ignoring hour break)

Wednesday            14:00-20:30 – 5.5 (ignoring hour break)

Thursday               12:00-20:30 – 7.5 (ignoring hour break)

Friday                    12:00-20:30 – 7.5 (ignoring hour break)

Saturday                11:00-14:30 – 3.5 (no hour break)
