Environmental Services Advisor

We are looking to recruit a new Environmental Services Advisor to join our dedicated team that deals with public inquiries on our busy front line Cityclean and City Parks services and well as providing back-office administration.
The role includes proactively and promptly responding to customer needs, with customer service always at the forefront, whether its internal or external customers.
If successful, you’ll play an important role in not only how residents, businesses and visitors view our city. You’ll also be fundamental to the success and attraction of Brighton & Hove.
About the role
You will be experienced in providing customer focused services in a busy, frontline, multi-disciplined environment.
You must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to respond to customers assertively, tactfully and empathetically, whilst keeping calm under pressure.
In particular, we want someone to join our City Environment team who can demonstrate experience in:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining and following administrative systems and processes
- A positive approach to resolving problems and bringing creativity in working to resolve them
- Excellent computer skills, including using IT systems and Microsoft applications
This is a permanent opportunity and job-share applications are welcomed.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
