We are looking for a Head of Sensory Service to join the SEND Outreach Services in Greenwich. We have recently had our Local Area SEND Inspection where OFSTED recognised the high quality of our SEND Services, commenting "The culture is one of working together to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people" and "Professionals regularly go the extra mile to make sure that children and young people's needs are met effectively".

We are looking for someone who is committed to these principles to join a well-established team of 4 Outreach services, each led by a specialist teacher and based together in their own centre, who work together to develop integrated, responsive services to work with children, families and schools. The Sensory team includes staff who have stayed with the team for a long time but also many who have joined us due to the reputation of special needs services in Greenwich. We believe in developing staff and within the Outreach service have the capacity to support the right person who is innovative, with drive, vision and excellent communication skills to develop them within the role. You will provide specialist expertise and professional leadership for a team of Specialist Teachers and professionals for children and young people with Vision Impairment (VI), Hearing Impairment (HI), Muiti-Sensory Impairment (MSI) and will have Qualified Teacher Status and a Mandatory Qualification in Sensory Impairment and have experience of working in a range of settings and across age groups.

We have a range of mainstream and specialist provision for sensory impairment within the borough and well established relationships with our schools.
