The London Borough of Waltham Forest are looking for a Tree Surveyor to be part of the tree Service team who are responsible for the maintenance of the tree population across a number of council services.
Trees are a prolific green asset in the borough which requires a high level of expertise to deliver the tree maintenance contract and ongoing surveying.
We are looking for a candidate with Arboricultural experience and suitable industry qualifications including the ability to use electronic databases, formally survey trees record and plan necessary works.

About the role:

The Tree Surveyor role is part of the Tree Service team that works within Parks and Open Spaces.The role is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the tree population across a number of council services. The candidate will require industry qualifications and relevant experience in Arboriculture.

The candidate will require IT skills and be able to produce reports and answer enquiries using Office software.

Experience using Tree databases like Ezytreev or equivalent systems.

The successful candidate will need transport to cover work in an office and outdoor environment throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Tree inspections

Maintenance and tree pruning specification

Contract Management and liaison responsibilities

Drafting of reports and technical advice

Uploading tree data onto the council's tree database

Qualifications and Requirements:

Professional Arboriculture qualifications

Documented experience in the Arboriculture industry

Terms and conditions:

Satisfactory employment references and CIFAS identity checks;

Satisfactory declaration of interest;

Suitable driver's license;
