Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday 27.5 hours per week (5.5 hours per day)/38 weeks per year

Salary: Scale 5 Point 12-15 depending on experience. Pro rata salary of £19,403 - £20,312 p.a. (FTE £30,033 - £31,440 p.a.)

Contract: Fixed term to start as soon as possible – 23rd July 2024

 

The Governors of St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our successful school.

We require someone to:

  • To cover and lead class teaching.
  • Direct the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning.
  • Use their area(s) of expertise to contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities, and to plan their role in learning activities.
  • Use allocated time to devise clearly structured activities that interest and motivate learners and advance their learning.
  • Plan how they will support the inclusion of pupils in the learning activities.
  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement

The successful candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic and dedicated.
  • Be a qualified HLTA.
  • Be caring and energetic.
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Have a good standard of English and Maths
  • Be willing to attend training
