Are you interested in joining an organisation at the heart of the democratic process, during the next UK Parliamentary General Election?

The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity.

You would be joining the regulatory support team, who provide effective and proactive advice and guidance for parties, campaigners and other regulated entities, with the aim of securing compliance with the rules on political finance.

The Electoral Commission offers excellent terms and conditions, including flexible working hours and the opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits.

If this role sounds interesting to you, then we want to hear from you!

  • You will have experience of resolving queries and relaying information to stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner.

  • You will have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with stakeholder queries over the phone.

  • You will have the motivation and ability to familiarise yourself quickly with the relevant law relating to party and election finance.

  • You will have great attention to detail and ideally experience of working in a regulatory environment as well as reading and applying legislation.

If shortlisted, you will have one interview, which will be the same if you are interested in either or both positions.

You only need to submit one application to be considered for both roles.
