About Us:

Bursting with culture, energy, and opportunity, the London Borough of Waltham Forest is a fantastic and exciting place to work.

We are a highly ambitious borough. Driven by culture and the innate creativity of our residents, we have developed new and innovative ways to build our communities. Our Council is relentlessly resident-focused, insight-led, digitally driven and commercially minded; a Council focused on meeting the needs of our existing and future residents.

London Borough of Waltham Forest is one of the Mayor of London's Good Work Standard employers. This accreditation is a proof of our commitment to creating a healthy, fair and inclusive workplace. This includes fair pay and conditions, workplace well-being, skills and progression and diversity and recruitment.

About the role:

Waltham Forest is setting an ambitious vision for a changed borough by 2030 with the development of our new Corporate Plan, Mission Waltham Forest. The scale of inequality faced by our residents is all too often the barrier that holds people back from realising their ambitions. Local government is also facing unprecedented financial challenges. Mission Waltham Forest sets out how we will respond to these complex societal challenges whilst keeping a firm financial footing.

To deliver on this ambitious agenda, we are mobilising a multi-year Transformation Programme. We must confront the pressing challenge of increasing demand and diminishing resources - to do this we will need to fundamentally change the way we work and set out a radical transition to delivering an outstanding experience for every resident that needs our help. Our new Chief Executive will drive this change in a cross-organisational programme that focuses on how and what we deliver for residents.

The Transformation Team sits at the heart of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, committed to delivering positive change for our community. As a Programme Manager in the Transformation Team, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping our organisation's delivery, designing complex transformational change with a focus on sustainable resident outcomes. As part of the Strategy & Change Service, you will work across the organisation to lead change and design innovative solutions to our most pressing challenges.
