We are seeking an experienced events professional to work in our thriving EventsService which has a wide range of clients and partners (Council, Community and Corporate) and to support the ambitions of the team and service.

 

How You’ll Be Involved

You’ll be overseeing the strategic and financial aspects of the events service, including managing indoor hires, hospitalities, outdoor hires like commercial activations, community festivals, and the Camden Film Office. This involves planning and executing various events, ranging from small bespoke gatherings to large-scale functions and activations, such as civic events like Mayor Making and Elections. Additionally, you would be responsible for creating creative content for events, developing event schedules and timelines, and negotiating contracts. 

You’ll be building partnerships and managing relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers. Moreover, you’ll be overseeing the management and monitoring of the Camden Film Office contract and managing community festivals, activations in the public realm and the delivery of the Love Camden Cultural programme, while collaborating across council services.

All About You

You’ll be an experienced events professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering safe, compliant, inclusive, and accessible public events and festivals in both indoor and outdoor settings. These events are co-created and co-produced in collaboration with diverse communities, ensuring broad engagement and participation. With extensive experience in event management for a variety of clients and partners, including private, corporate, and public entities, you’ll bring a wealth of expertise to the table.

Furthermore, you’ll possess a comprehensive understanding of venue systems and operations for hire, as well as expertise in outdoor event management. Your ability to influence and negotiate with external partners and clients is a key asset in ensuring the success of events and fostering positive relationships.

You’ll also demonstrates a thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing requirements for events of all sizes, implementing effective management systems for maintenance and risk mitigation. Additionally, you’ll excel in delivering concise written, visual, and oral presentations tailored to different audiences, effectively communicating event plans and strategies.
